Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, and Kim Kardashian’s daughter with her former husband Kanye West, North West, were both born around the same period. These two girls share another notable similarity: they both have extraordinarily famous parents, a reality that has unintentionally thrust them into the public eye since their births.
Currently, it appears that some individuals are drawing comparisons between the two girls. A video juxtaposing both children has gone viral, amassing over 7 million views. In this video, Blue Ivy is depicted with her natural appearance, while images of North West’s Halloween costume are showcased, which includes blue hair, facial tattoos, blackened teeth, and piercings.
The caption stated, “Two children born into fame. One is being raised by both parents, while the other is raised by a single mother. The contrast is evident. Broken families lead to broken children, who subsequently grow into broken adults.”
Nevertheless, many individuals were quickly offended by the insensitive caption. One individual remarked on the use of a photo of North’s Halloween costume, stating, “It was a Halloween costume. You all are overreacting.” Another person commented, “Different individuals possess different personalities,” in an attempt to mitigate the discussion that was pitting the girls against each other.
Additionally, another individual remarked, “Children brought up in two-parent households can also become broken, just as those raised in single-parent households can turn out perfectly well.”
However, some individuals proceeded to critique Kim Kardashian’s parenting. One person commented, “You can discern who has healthy parents,” while another added, “When there is no father present in the home, that is what you observe.”
Another individual cautioned commenters to remember that they were discussing children’s appearances, stating, “Those making negative remarks should keep in mind that these are children. They are entitled to play with makeup, have tattoos, and imitate anyone; they are merely children.”
It appears that people hold very strong views regarding the subject of celebrity parenting. What are your thoughts? Please share with us in the comment section on Facebook.
