Father of Renee Good’s Late Husband Speaks Out After Reviewing New Shooting Footage

Almost no one who has viewed the disturbing video of Renee Good’s fatal shooting remains neutral on the matter.

The 37-year-old mother lost her life to an ICE officer during a confrontation last week in Minneapolis. Accounts suggest Good blocked ICE agents with her vehicle, while footage appears to show her attempting to escape when officer Jonathan Ross fired.

Standing ahead of Good’s car as she accelerated away, Ross unleashed three rounds into it, fatally striking Good before reportedly muttering “f**g b*h” as her vehicle careened off and crashed.

This shocking episode has ignited fierce online clashes, with prominent voices across America’s political spectrum digging into opposing views.

The Department of Homeland Security swiftly branded Good a “domestic terrorist,” a label endorsed by President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

The Trump White House stance holds that Good aimed to run down ICE agents, positioning Ross’s response as legitimate self-protection.

On the flip side, figures like Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey have labeled it murder, demanding charges against Ross.

The rift runs so deep that even Good’s relatives disagree on whether her death falls within legal bounds.

Renee’s ex-father-in-law recently went public, stating he holds no grudge against ICE for the killing. In a CNN interview, Timmy Macklin—father of Good’s second husband, Tim Macklin Jr.—called the ordeal “hard for everybody involved.”

“I’m not blaming anybody,” he said of Ross shooting Good in the head.

“I mean, the ICE agent, you know, at first I didn’t see the footage where he was actually being rammed. I’ve seen the bumper of the car hitting his legs. And so in a flash like that, it’s hard to say how you would react.”

Macklin, a Trump backer, also distanced himself from Good’s actions that day. “I think there’s some bad choices… if we’re walking in the spirit of God, I don’t think she would have been there. That’s the way I look at it.”

On Ross’s post-shooting slur, Macklin remarked: “His statement that he made after the incident, the things he called her, I mean, that’s definitely showing evidence that he don’t know the Lord like he should.”

CBS’s Tony Dokoupil shared yesterday that Renee’s own father backs the 47th president too. Asked about tagging her a ‘domestic terrorist,’ Trump replied to Dokoupil: “I wanna say to the father that I love all of our people. They can be on the other side. And I would bet you that she, under normal circumstances, was a very solid, wonderful person. But, you know, her actions were pretty tough.”
